About NCC

National Cadet Corps is the largest Tri-services youth organization comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. It was established in 1917 as a University Corp. The Moto of national cadet corps is "Unity and Discipline" which was adopted on 23 Dec.1957. The aim of National cadet corps is to develop qualities of character, courage, discipline, leadership, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship and ideal of selfless services among the youth to make them useful citizens, and to createtrained motivated and human resources organized youth to provide leadership in Armed forces and always available for the services of the nation.

In Janata Mahavidyalaya, Chandrapur, the name of battalion is 21 MAH BN NCC WARDHA.Along with rigorous NCC training, all cadetsparticipate in various social activities like, Tree plantation, Blooddonation; Pulse polio mass Immunization and Rallies organized bygovernment and non-government organizations. Many NCC cadets joinrepublic day parade, Independence Day parade, Cleanliness driveswachh Bharat Abhiyan. NCC cadets voluntarily worked as police mitrain various festival like Ganesh Festival, DurgaUtsav etc.

Aim

The ‘Aims’ of the NCC laid out in 1988 have stood the test of time and continue to meet the requirements expected of it in the current socio–economic scenario of the country. The NCC aims at developing character, comradeship, discipline, a secular outlook, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Further, it aims at creating a pool of organized, trained and motivated youth with leadership qualities in all walks of life, who will serve the Nation regardless of which career they choose. Needless to say, the NCC also provides an environment conducive to motivating young Indians to join the armed forces.
